Support wanes in Iraq for US troops

According to a poll commissioned by the BBC and ABC, 78 percent of Iraqis oppose the presence of the coalition forces in their country, while 69 percent think that the presence of American and other foreign troops in the country worsens the security situation in Iraq.
A series of bomb blasts in the northern oil-rich city of Kirkuk have killed at least 14 people. The future of Kirkuk is being hotly contested by Kurds and Arabs and by neighbouring Turkey.
