NCF Delegation's Iraq trip

Dear all,

William recently took a delegation of prominent Arab journalists and opinion-formers to Iraq for 10 days. They toured the Kurdistan region as well as Baghdad.

Here are William's quick thoughts on the trip:

Kirkuk was worse than in October. Red zone Baghdad too. The Ninevah plain was better. Anyway we're home now ... It's not all so bad.

The photograph here is up above one of the little villages in the valleys North of Dohuk. Mark (fourth from left) and I and Abdulmonem (kneeling) made it to red zone Baghdad. Mohamed (left) and Mohamed (second from right) kicked in for Kirkuk. Those were the tough spots. Everywhere else was peachy - like the picture.
