Malaki and Allawi are neck and neck and we are virtually sure that the final result will give Allawi a slightly higher proportion of the national vote. Whereas Malaki will have a slightly higher number of seats. Probably 90 to Allawi's 89. In any case we will all know later today following which there will be lots of arguments and recriminations- and a two month wait whilst the government is being formed.
