A spokesman for Iraq’s parliament speaker says a political accord has been reached to clear the way for parliamentary elections next year. Omar Al Mishhadani, the spokesman for Parliament Speaker Ayad Al Samarie, had no details of the pact reached after marathon talks yesterday. A late-night emergency session was called for parliament members to vote on the deal.
