Chris Doyle of Caabu writes that, after meeting in Jordan yesterday, President Bush has said that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is the "right guy for Iraq and we're going to help him". The US President also dispelled rumors of a "graceful exit" from Iraq, but committed to the transfer of power to the Iraqi Prime Minister through the training of Iraqi security forces. An aide to Mr Maliki said, after the summit, that all ten Iraqi army divisions should be under the Prime Minister's control by the end of March. (Times, Independent, FT, Guardian) - William adds, pro Iranian premier Malaki is very upset with Bush for privately calling him "useless" - it's a wonder the meeting took place at all.
