There must be an inquiry, but when?

Chris Doyle of Caabu comments:

Tony Blair avoided defeat over the war in Iraq last night after the government headed off all-party demands for an inquiry into the war andits aftermath (Times, Independent, Guardian, Telegraph, Financial Times). Several MPs made heated demands for a full inquiry, and Margaret Beckett said an inquiry would send the wrong message to Iraq and undermine the armed forces (Times, Telegraph). Many editorials and comments state that aninquiry is necessary, but that this is not the right time.
